About me… 🙂

I’m Alberto Vallejo. I’m a Software Architect living in Spain. I’m working with Big Data technologies and Cloud Technologies.

I am working with Snowflake, dbt, azure cloud and data. 

I have worked with Azure cloud in general and specifically with Azure Synapse and on datalake and data warehouse technologies in particular.

I also have worked with Cloudera Distribution ecosystem, with products like Apache Spark, Apache SOLR, Apache Kafka, Apache Flume, Apache Hive, Apache Hadoop, Apache HBase. I have experience working with microservices architecture involving Spring Framework  and containerization with Docker.

I am a fan of Big Data, enterprise search, cloud, data engineering, NoSQL (MongoDB, Neo4j, HBase, Redis), linux and Java/Scala programming. I’m also interested in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, specially Text Mining and NLP.  I have studied a master/ postgraduate degree about Advanced Artificial Intelligence, in addition to other two academic degrees.

I am very interested in cloud technologies, so I am AWS Certified:

The last but not least:

I have teach some classes and technical talks and I have experience writing technical texts, such as my final master’s thesis about Big Data, clustering and Lambda Architecture.

In the remote  past, I have received awards for innovation competitions, such as the
‘IV Call for Telefonica I+D Awards’, with a project on cryptography:
‘Securely digitally sealed envelope’  (september 2003)
